Sock owls are a hoot

Excuse the ridiculously poor pun, I just couldn’t help myself. The sis and I had a lovely little craft-night-lock-in on Friday and made these soft-toy sock owls. Are they not the cutest things you’ve ever seen? the coolest things you’ve ever seen? well whatever your take, I love them.

The idea (and materials) were all provided by one of Claire Waring’s Craft Schmaft kits. The awkward stitching and dodgy fabric cutting provided by yours truly!

The talented Mr Hughes

Digital artist and good friend, Dave Hughes, has just published a whole bunch of very cool works on his blog, Parc-log. The pieces are simply beautiful and I don’t think require any further explanation, except to say – with a Les Mis reference to boot, I’m officially his biggest fan. Watch this space (his space, not mine… but mine as well), as there’s destined to be more genius coming from him soon.
