Le Corbusier – The Art of Architecture

Posted by Greta in Exhibitions - 18 April 2009

Le Corbusier – The Art of Architecture at the Barbican. Aside from the amazing architecture Le Corbusier is most known for, I was particularly impressed with his vision for modern life and all that it entails. With very 2001: A Space Odyssey environments, the interiors were made for purpose, and threw all standard ideas of what a home should be out the window. Bathrooms in bedrooms, shifting walls and metre wide rooms… pretty cool. Oh, and he was chums with Picasso… ’nuff said.

Imagine…

Posted by Greta in Portfolio - 2 April 2009

This site was designed to promote the Imagine range of Nintendo DS games for games giant, Ubisoft. It ran competitions, promoted mall PR events, and gave little’uns a chance to generate their own Star Profile… an illustration and story that put them in the spotlight. As part of the project, I concepted, illustrated, designed and art directed a shoot with Fearne Cotton and Holly Willhouby, the faces of the Imagine range.

Pretty pink, girlie things…

Posted by Greta in Portfolio - 2 April 2009

These illustrations were part of a series designed for games developer Ubisoft, to promote their Imagine game range. The concept was to show little girls living out their dreams.

They were then used in a ‘star profile’ generator that told stories of fame and fortune, and replaced the key names with those of the user, as though they themselves were represented in the illustrations. Each illustration was created with multiple skin tone, hair and eye variations so the girls could customise the picture to look like themselves.

These Russian-born cameras have such charm… you simply cant go wrong. Even the blurriest, greyest, most cliche` subjects can become gorgeous “happy accidents”. I LOVE it!
